People have been building homes and establishing businesses to gain autonomy within their community. Recent scandals involving crypto-assets raise an interesting issue: technology is mature and reliable. Nevertheless, one may see a platform censoring people or putting them into trouble. I see similar issues in matters involving artificial intelligence. Talented people work hard on a project by imitating a successful business model. They may discover that:
- They deliver a service that is very similar to that of their competitors because they follow a very similar business model.
- They give away their proof of concept or savoir-faire to a larger company hoping to be supported in return.
- They have no market since they have to work with a larger company to have access to their market.
Does one have to renounce one's real autonomy to succeed in the digital world?
